Our 38,000 sq. ft. main fabrication shop features two 10 ton overhead cranes that run along the entire length of the 175’ long building, and, with over 25’ of ceiling height we can easily accommodate structures up to 18’ in width.
Our weld shop is certified to ASME Code 1-8 & AWS code D1.1 structural steel and AWS code D1.3 sheet steel standards. Our welders are pre-qualified prior to employment and re-qualified annually. Weld procedures are certified and posted for easy employee and customer reference.
Industrial Paint & Powder Coating
The Paint & Coating operation occupies more than 14,000 sq/ft and features a 25’W x 60’L x 20'H paint booth, a 20’W x 30’L x 20’H paint booth, and a 14’W x 24’L x 10’H shot blast booth, 10' x 10' x 25' powder booth and a 10' x 10' x 30' curing oven. Our paint booths are equipped with air exhaust/supply recovery units and heaters.
Zinc primers, epoxies, enamels, and polyurethane's are some of the materials we currently use. We have experience with 2 & 3 step coating processes required for offshore and other extreme environments. We also have one of the largest capacity powder coating operations in East Texas.

Mid South has relationships with 3rd. party weld, joint, and stress testing companies and can customize our quality program for specific customer requirements and needs.
